Guide
Box office
The counter app at box.ticketdemo.xyz: three tabs, Sell, Will‑call and Door, for staff with the box‑office role or higher at the venue.
Signing in and picking the event
Sign in with your normal account. You'll see only the venues where you hold a role, and their events. Pick the event you're working; everything on the three tabs is scoped to it.
Sell
- Choose seats or GA. Tap seats on the map, or type to find a seat by section and number. For GA areas use the steppers. Accessible GA can be sold from the reserved pool by marking the line accessible.
- Choose the tender. Cash records the sale at the event's prices with no fees. Comp issues the tickets at zero.
- Optionally take a name and email. With an email, the buyer gets their tickets by email and can find the order later. Without one, the tickets print only.
- Complete. The sale is all‑or‑nothing: if any chosen seat was taken online in the meantime, nothing is sold and you're told which. Otherwise the tickets appear on screen with a QR each, ready to print.
The counter sells outside the online queue and the per‑customer cap, but never outside the inventory rules: a held or sold seat is unavailable here too.
Will‑call
- Find an order by customer name, email or order number.
- Reprint an unscanned ticket. The old QR is invalidated and a new one issued, so a lost or photographed ticket can't be used twice.
- Void a ticket (venue managers and above). The seat or GA place returns to inventory.
- Refund (venue managers and above). Refund the whole order or pick specific tickets. Card orders are refunded through Stripe, proportionally for a partial refund; cash and comp are recorded for the drawer. Refunded tickets are invalidated and their seats go back on sale. If Stripe is slow, the money leg is retried automatically until it completes.
Door
A browser check‑in for a laptop or tablet at the gate: paste or type the code from a ticket and see the result. It accepts the same codes the scanner apps read. For a camera and offline support, use the scanner apps.
Transfers
A per‑show list of ticket transfers with sender, masked recipient, seats and status, for the moment someone says “my friend sent me these”. Staff can't cancel or resend a fan's transfer; the fan does that from My Tickets.
